IRANDAM ULAGAM First Review

Anushka is a doctor and Arya is a lecturer and an altruistic person. Anushaka falls for Arya’s philanthropic nature and proposes him. A similar story runs in parallel in another world. Irandam Ulagam Anushka is a tribal girl and Arya is the son of the commander in chief of a kingdom on a different planet. Arya falls for Anushka’s independent nature and tries to woo her. Will Arya accept Anushka’s proposal ? Does Arya succeed in winning Anushka ? The movie is all about what happens during the course of their love journey. Performance Only two actors in the movie and they are Anushka & Arya. Arya did awesome work in first half and Anushka givien her best for her Character. Selvaragavan worked with our indian CG designers and good vishuals but with lack of story. Both Anirudh and Harrish did their part in good manner. My verdit: Experimental love movie in high budget.

Atlee In Raja Rani Movie Review

Yesterday I watched Atlee’s debut movie Raja Rani

“there is love after love failure” and importantly “there is life after love failure”.
Movie start’s with a lovely wedding between Arya and Nayanthara where the two marry against their wishes just to appease their near and dear ones.
After some scene the main flash back comings, their back stories and the romances with Arya & Nazriya and Nayan & Jai respectively in their lives prior to this marriage.

Santhanam plays Arya’s dearest friend with his buddy and at the same time generating the expected share of chuckles. His consistency as a comedian, movie after movie is terrific and he also proves that he can shine as an “actor”. The scene at the hospital when Nayan insults Arya is a classic example of the myriad reactions that Santhanam can bring about in his facade.

The new darling in town, Nazriya appears really cute and her introductory dance to “Ringa Ringa” is easily among the most endearing heroine intro scenes in recent memory. Her girly voice sure has some appeal.

Arya exhibits maturity in emotional scenes, shares great chemistry with both the lead ladies and breezes through the role. Jai is a great comedic element in the first half with his constant weeping and self-pitying antics. His shrill voice suits such scenes well. Sathyan as his senior at the call centre contributes well to the movie’s comedy.

Sathyaraj is stylish playing the uber-cool dad to Nayan. Scenes like both addressing each other as “darling” and Nayan offering a bottle of beer to “correct” her dad are enjoyable. The emotional scene in the car when Nayan opens her heart out to her dad has been enacted brilliantly by both these actors. Raja Rani could qualify as Nayanthara’s career best performance till date. Great comeback by the actress with a role which gave her ample scope.

Naan Kadavul Rajendran, in never-seen-before suave and professional costumes plays to the gallery and is slowly becoming a crowd favourite thanks to his striking appearance and voice.

G.V.Prakash is the bloodline of Raja Rani breathing life into Atlee’s script. His rerecording for the romance scenes and other intense moments is top notch and lifts the overall movie viewing experience. He is no doubt among the best when it comes to scoring BGMs.

The movie’s running time too length. It should be trimmed…

Atlee has ably handled a pure romantic film with so many seasoned actors on board and joins the list of promising directors to have made their debut this year.

Arya was not scored too much of the this flim. Jai and Nayan scored.

Over all Performance : Debut director Atlee Successfully launched first project.

SINGAM II- My Review- EXCLUSIVE

Continuation of Durai Singam‘s mission in thoothukudi followed by SouthAfrica..
As witnessed in the ads it is an in and out mindless masala movie with the routine route of a fight follwed by a song and comedy sequence and sentiment
in the whole first half.
There are so many ribtickling serious scenes in the movie as well.
Suriya- He performed well indeed. Fire in acting.Few scenes were really powerful especiallly the interval block and first 20 mins
of the second half.
Apart from it drug smuggling,gypsy chasing,hero flying, etc., etc., blah blah you can predict the next scene well in advance..
Hari‘s route is this but there are so many obstacles he should have seen it. Trying to make the scenes jet speed is ok but it should
have continued throughout the movie.
Santhanam does the humour part,nice but silly dialogues and Vivek did a role similiar to sathyan in thuppaki.
Hansika was so cute. Her role is heavier than Anushka who filled the glamour portions in songs.
Coming to DSP the music is below average and the singam theme was ok for few moments. “Singam Dance” song was the best of the worst.
There are lots of starcast among them Mukesh rishi and rahman doing the Villain role followed by Danny the Afrian drug leader who was disgusting.
Graphics and VFX works horrible,
V.T.Vijayan failed to cut a lot of unnecessary scenes.
Priyan’s cinematography was apt for the movie.
It is nothing wrong in doing masala and commercial movies but it should satisy atleast fans of the hero.
If it doesn’t satisy even the fans then it is no use in marketting, still the makers of this movie
are keen in telugu market value and i believe that they overpowered the hero with tons of masses and ultimately it reversed against the
hero.People however will be forced to go to the theatres in the first week by the promotions.After that it may run only in tv ads as superhit.
And the movie is very lengthy almost close to 3 hrs.. you need some patience as well..
On the whole to sum it up there are some noteworthy scenes then and there you can surpass it by those saviours.

Annakodi – Review

It was a rather disappointing term, as it took five years and further delay for director Bharathiraja to deliver his next bout of creativity. As he quotes often, across the length and breadth of Tamil Nadu, many of the small towns and villages have a tale of their own, narrating their part of the world with staunch beliefs, faith and customary practices. Known to boldly highlight that which is often either taken for granted or shied away from, Bharathiraja usually ensures that he has left no stone unturned, in each of his movie. This is what guaranteed him six national awards, for his classic yesteryear entertainers.

A journey that began in ’16 Vayathinile’, awarded him a choice award right in his debut. Proceeding on a journey through ‘Kizhake Pogum Rail’, ‘Sigappu Rojakal’, ‘Nizhalgal’, ‘Oru Kaidhiyin Diary’, ‘Tik Tik Tik’ and many more, Bharathiraja became a brand name. With National Award winning films like ‘Mudhal Mariyadhai’ and ‘Karuthamma’, he brought out the best that Kollywood can deliver. Among most of his movies, there has been a fine thread of similarity, that brings out one of the deadliest plague of the society – caste bias and discrimination. Expressed vividly in ‘Alaigal Oivathillai’ and ‘Karuthamma’, the typical Bharathiraja touch has been about love that blooms and flourishes beyond societal stereotypes like caste, creed and money – which, disappointingly, falls emotionless and flat in ‘Annakodi’.

First there was speculation about the name, then the release date and then the movie itself; all this had only increased the expectations movie, for when there is a controversy, there’s bound to a success story. Unfortunately, none of that marketing worked the trick here. First things first – the film is period set, probably close to independence, which is evident in the police’s half pants. Two small villages that nurture the hero and heroine each, and as predictable as it can get, the two populus are eternally at customary loggerheads. And there begins the saga of love. Starting off at a mutual taunting misunderstanding, as it most often happens, the two fall madly in love with one another. There is a bad yet influential man in the village, who composes the rest of the story, and who gets who in the end, is ultimately all ‘Annakodi’ is about. Well, easier said than done.

Bharathiraja has always defined love in new and out-of-the-box the box explanations. This one is also an off-beat portrayal of how the lead pair influence the life of one another and change their lives forever. Set in the backdrop of draught stricken village that thrives on farmer and shepherd population, forms an easy excuse for the love birds to join hands stealthily every now and then. This delivers a definite earthen feeling, where the director scores high, as always. Add to this, there are a lot more twists in the story, than you can ever imagine. However, despite all this, it is quite monotonous.

The second half is quite a balm, but not sure whether it is because there is a much needed break in between, or because there is actually more stuff per scene than the former. The last hour brings out most of what was intended to be a part of the movie – it ranges between love, separation, angst and anger. Going further, the movie gets highly predictable at every frame, and the story is no suspense. As if caught up in a drama competition, running out of time, climax is quite sudden, but comes as an entertaining relief.

On the other hand, everyone is advancing and becoming up to date, and our dear director is no exception to the rule. The bad side of the advancement is exposure and raw details, a glimpse of which was served in the teasers. Although the government cleared the film with U/A at the Censor Board, no adult may want the a child watching it, even under their supervision. Since it is a big director’s movie, Lakshman Narayan, Karthika and Manoj are to get a big break, but their contribution on this regard seems too little. GV Prakash has done a good job with regard to background score and music, and justifies the movie to the best extent possible, from his side of work. Picture is crystal clear, so make up could have taken care of, a little better. If the teaser made you squirm in your seat, then please be informed that it was after all only the teaser, while the whole movie lies ahead of it.

In all, the movie is a hard core love struggle, the burden of which reaches the audience by all means. After all the painful wait and suspense about the movie, the output is not quite satiating; and it is disappointing that this comes from one of the most sought after directors. To savour your earthen tastes, and for your love for the director, you can try and sit through the two hours odd long story once.

Verdict: You may like it for Bharathiraja

Television broadcast of Obama speech where he told Osama bin Laden had died by showing his photo but Viswa got angry and argue if a people die shall the world should be celebrate as he is also a guy and at late night while all had been sleep, Nirupama back to home and went to her room and saw Viswa had slept but when the camera moved to him, actually he was not slept but putting angry sound which can be hear as a sleep sound la.

The next day, Nirupama had appointed one investigator based on her friend advise and the investigator name was Peter. He followed wherever Viswa go and was shocked to see Viswa went to mosque and put fez on his head and pray and quickly Peter informed to Nirupama about Viswa real identity la and she was shocked to know her husband was a Muslim la. As he went outside from mosque, he sensed that someone follow his back which was Peter so he run away until he reached warehouse and quickly disappeared. Peter knocked the warehouse door since he thought Viswa was there la but then

open the door and ask him and Peter answered the question but Farouk did not believe and used his stick to kill Peter. Farouk went to tell this matter to

Omar(Rahul Bose)

where he was watching the same Obama news in which Viswa had saw earlier la and asked Farouk to investigate who was Peter and why he was paid to investigate.

In the night, Nirupama saw Peter death on the news and Deepak suddenly came to her house and blasted her for hiring Peter as detective and there will be a small fight between Viswa and Deepak until Nirupama questioned back to Viswa whether he is Muslim, he was speechless and asked her to come for discussion la but suddenly Farouk came with his group and captured Viswa and Nirupama while Deepak was actually Farouk’s friend and that why he know that Nirupama hired detective based on Farouk. 

The scene moved to the warehouse where some of muslims which their face and body contained diseases and they were sitting inside the container la and Nirupama and Viswa were tied and Farouk ask Viswa his real name and he told his real name was Tawfeeq la but suddenly he change to Nasra name. Farouk becoming confused and angry and he kicked 3 times to Viswa’s man secret weapon . Omar who was in the control room asked Farouk to capture Viswa photo and traced his email and when

Salim(Jaideep Ahlawat) 

gave Viswa’s photo to Omar, he got shocked and ask Farouk to shoot Vishwa’s knees and make sure he is alive and he asked Farouk to kill Deepak and Deepak was being headshot killed.

Viswa being bleed as the result of Farouk punishment, Nirupuma asked Farouk to untie Viswa and Farouk gave him last chance to say his real name or else he will die. Viswa suddenly changed his face from a soft character to a fighter where he fought all the baddies and managed to kill Farouk in which Nirupama got shocked and Viswa guided her to escape and he told her to count until 10 second, if after 10 second he was not escaped, he asked her to run away with a car. While in warehouse, more baddies coming towards him and try to shoot him and he managed to escape after Nirupama countdown and he jumped toward Nirupama car mirror to escape la and when Omar reached the warehouse, Viswa and Nirupama had escape and he told to Salim that Viswa was the one who recruit Al-Qaeda and the flashback shown to the Afghanistan where his real name was Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri(but i used Vishwa simple to used)

In Afghanistan, Omar was searching and recruiting peoples and he saw Viswa photo which was wanted and he asked Viswa whether he know any language la and Viswa told he know only Tamil la and Omar bring him to the cave where he met Mamu and

Nasser

and the photographer took Omar and his recruiting team photo including Viswa,Mamu and Nasser. The scene moved to the terrorists who were in shoot training and they used George Bush as main target la and at night, Omar brings Viswa to his house where there is doctor who was anEnglish girl that treat Omar’s wife(Khadija) and Omar asked the doctor to leave without treating his wife la. He asked Khadija to close mouth by covering the scarf la and he introduced Viswa to her and also Omar’s son named Nasra and that time Nasra was talking English with Khadija. Omar asked Nasra who called the doctor and why he was talking English because Omar hate English peoples so he banned his peoples talking English la and Jalal was an English school teacher and he helped Nasra to learn English but Omar asked Jalal when the last time he broke Jalal leg from the result where Jalal taught Nasra and even Omar had buried that schoo when he heard Nasra was studying there la.

The next day show where Nasra eyes being tied up and he need to guess what his touch such as AK-47 rifle and bullets size where he calculated precisely la and suddenly one informer told to Omar that NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization) attack their neighbourhood place la and when they went there,all was died and Viswa found that English girl who was previously treated Khadija but she was killed but her horse was alive and Viswa decided to kill that horse to end the suffering la.and Mamu were gifted some sort of girl scarf and he happily running from that place as Viswa was confused looking at him la. Omar told to Viswa that he still kept the prisoner and they went there and Omar with Salim killed all the 3 prisoners due to the NATO attack and Viswa just stood down watching that murder la and the camera moved to Mamu scene where he ran towards America bunker and quickly he lied down when a tank came and he died because he released the bomb in which he become the suicide bomber la

On the night, Omar told there will be one sheikh coming to this place and he will be treasurer for them. Sheikh came and his name was Tawfeeq and he gave a gift to Viswa as Viswa kept that safely in the bag la. The next day, Omar bring Viswa to the special place where Omar was not mentioning the place name and the shocked news was Omar went to Osama place and he met Osama but as soon they were talking suddenly American helicopter came to that Omar’s place and the American killed several terrorist as Viswa asked Omar to calm down since Omar’s wife,son and Jalal were hiding in the another house where they need to be saved but suddenly Omar’s friend was killed and Omar was really angry and again try to fight but suddenly a blast where Omar being injured badly la and Viswa asked them to carry Omar to the truck and rescued him while Viswa will try to save Khadija,Nasra and Jalal but while he want to save the 3 of them suddenly a rocket was shot at their hiding place and they were died la.

The flashback was finished and the scene show Viswa house as Nirupama still confused what were happened around here la and Ashmita used medicine to treat him and Viswa asked his mama (which now he will called him as Sir) to burn all the papers and the papers were burned and one microchip look like sim card was burnt too. Then Viswa went to his room and cut his long hair to short hair. After he finished cutting his hair, Nirupama was amazed of Viswa new looks la and as they are ready to escape, FBI was coming to his house and Viswa asked Dawkins to escape first from house because FBI will not suspect on him since his face looks like American and Viswa removed one of his cupboard where there will be a door that lead to the basement la and Nirupama got shocked because she not even know this basement room. They both escaped via car and at the same time, Omar with Salim chasing them until Omar stop chasing them when Omar reached highway as he told that FBI would caught them and his Salim asked to Omar that Viswa was a good person in Afghanistan but why he suddenly changed la but Omar told that he the only one know how bad and dangerous Viswa is. The flashback come back to Afghanistan.

Omar try to calm down the fighting between the terrorists and Tawfeeq since many of them suspected Tawfeeq as the traitor but Omar does not believed and terrorists asked Omar to check Tawfeeq’s bag and he found only the gift that was gave to Viswa and he asked Salim to hold that gift and he seeing nothing problem but suddenly there is a red dot and when Omar open the gift, it was American radio signal which can detect their location. Omar was totally angry and hit Tawfeeq with stick and ask other terrorists to punish Tawfeeq. The next day show that Tawfeeq being hanged and died and again the flashback was finished.

Before that,Omar had called his other partner to clean the evidence and that partner put the bomb on that place and quickly went away la. Nirupuma asked to Viswa because she do not know where they are going and he answered by going to her place and she was shocked but Viswa told to her that Deepak was collaborating with Omar by using cesium and actually at first Nirupama never know the main goal of Deepak when she was helping him but after Viswa told everything then only she got to know and Nirupama quote to Viswa “Nenge nallavara kettavara?” which means she asked to him whether he is good or bad and he told that he is also good but somehow bad and when Viswa throwing money on the air, that time, the flashback was shown back to Afghanistan where the scene where Tawfeeq gave a gift to Viswa and when he going to put that gift in the bag suddenly there is one person who was Viswa’s men bring another similar to that gift and put that on his bag and then the scene move on when Viswa was escaping with his man and he asking to his man why he not removed and destroyed the gift after signalling the location because due to their mistake, Tawfeeq was hang killed but Viswa’s man answered it back by telling Tawfeeq is not one of his religion or caste( I was so confused).

The flashback was finished when the money who was thrown by Viswa was laying down and he went to Deepak place and check the transactions where most of name came from with name of Abbasi and he was from Nigeria la but at the same time,Omar’s partner who had leave that place and went to some place which he can see the bomb place and he detonated it.

As Viswa, Nirupama and Ashmitha going to escape, suddenly FBI came and asked them to surrender and they are surrendered. At FBI office,

asked a lot of question to Viswa but he had explained all to him but still Tom cannot understand him but luckily Viswa Mama(Sir) came to rescue him by bringing India ambassador and explained everything to them and Vishwa told them that the terrorist used cesium to spread the radioactive in America and the flashback was shown again where Omar discussed with Viswa by telling that he will used pigeons as the weapon and put cesium on pigeon’s legs and spread it la and the flashback again was finished la and Viswa told to FBI that there is a warehouse where the terrorist are being kept in there and quickly they went to the warehouse where the terrorist was praying and going to do something and when FBI open the warehouse and asked them to surrender, they went to suicide by bombing the warehouse.

The scene move to Dawkins as he went to muzeum and met the owner of museum and he want to buy one special blade but before that Dawkins introduced his name as other name and when he is going to buy that blade suddenly on owner CCTV show the real buyer of that blade and quickly Dawkins killed that owner and run away to his car but soon he went to his car, he met with Salim and Salim brought Dawkins to other place and he was being killed la .

Viswa with his Sir went to see Dawkins but he was already died and the scene move on to Abassi as he is setting something on his place while all the FBI was following through roof la and the scene show Omar and Salim was on the plane waiting to get the signal from Abbasi and the scene show to the Abbasi room where all FBI had covered his outside home and FBI used some hi tech camera to focus what was he doing. Viswa get shocked because Omar was planing to make cesium bomb through Abbasi help and when Abbasi starting to pray, Viswa used this moment to killAbbasi after Abbasi finished prayed and Abbasi died after second time being shot by Viswa and then a call ringing from Abbasi’s mobile which was Omar and he commanded Abbasi to detonate the bomb but suddenly Omar got shocked to know that Viswa was already there and Omar know his plan was ruined. The scene move back to the cesium-bomb scene where the ending was Nirupama came to that room to help Viswa since she was doctor specialist, she saw a microwave and she took that microwave and open the microwave door and put that to the top of that bomb and she explained to them that by putting microwave on top of the bomb, the bomb cannot be detonate by anyone since its cannot detect the signal to detonate la and the final was all were walking and Viswa said this is not the ending where there will be a continue and then show Viswapooram 2 trailer! The movie ends.

Superstar Rajinikanth celebrates his 60th birthday today and he will be spending the day with his family. Rajini’s birthday is no less than a festival for his fans the world over.

It is reported that his family and close friends have organized a Shashitabadapoorthi puja (60th birthday celebrations) at the famous Tirukkadiyur temple near Tiruchi. However, it should come to no one’s surprise that Rajini’s fans will be lining up for special poojas and welfare activities for their favourite idol.

Shivaji Rao Gaekwad was on December 12, 1949 and had very humble beginnings. He served as a ticket collector in a local shuttle bus in Bangalore when he was discovered by the legendary K. Balachander who renamed him Rajinikanth.

The year has been exceptional for Rajini. Breaking all box office records Endhiran has emerged as the biggest hit ever. There have also been two new additions to his family. Daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who is married to actor Dhanush gave birth to a baby boy and his other daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth got married to industrialist Ashwin Kumar.

Vijay’s Thuppaki Review – First Day First Show Report

One of the key reasons for Thuppaki’s sky high expectations is because the movie marks the beginning of Vijay’s strategy to working with top rung directors (barring Shankar’s Nanban which was a faithful remake of 3 Idiots). This is probably the best line-up of crew members and technicians for a Vijay movie. On the casting side, Kajal Aggarwal, Vidyut, Sathyan, Jayaram have provided the required support for Vijay to showcase his talent.  Does the script keep you engaged throughout the running time of 2 hour 45 minutes? Will Thuppaki uplift the festive mood this Diwali? Definitely, Yes.

The story opens in Mumbai with a bomb blast in a public bus. Jagdish (Vijay) is on a mission to find the terrorist gang and people behind the blast. There are twists and unexpected turns along the way. The story has enough ammo to fire up Vijay’s fan base.

Vijay has carried the movie from start to finish with his self-assured confidence and trade-mark style. The script makes frequent switch-overs from intense sleeper cell scenes to commercial love/comedy scenes. Vijay was able to make some bumpy transitions look convincing with his acting abilities. As always, Vijay dances effortlessly and comedy comes to him naturally. Vijay’s costumes, pleasant looks and mischievous expressions will surely win him more female fans. Vijay looks fit and younger in his toned muscular physique.

Story, Direction and Screenplay

AR Murugadoss’ engaging story is narrated in gray tones balanced with commercially colourful compromises. The movie may have minor similarities to Ramana which has worked out well again. Murugadoss has done his homework by consulting ex-CBI chief Karthikeyan and the details are blended in nicely while dumbing it down for audience. AR Murugadoss has intentionally slowed down the pacing and narration in critical scenes (e.g., Hospital security chief conversation in the terrace) to get the message across. The dialogues about common people’s (un)willingness to put their life at risk to fight terrorism are well written and delivered by Vijay. Also, the hero putting his sister in a high-risk operation provides the impetus and emotional connect with the audience.

It is interesting to note that the villain (Vidyut) tracks down the hero instead of other way around, which is usually seen. Another aspect which is told subtlely is Vijay’s undercover act passing off as a common man similar to the way terrorist sleeper cells operate. Vijay’s exterminating the sleeper cell operations in Mumbai is not revealed to his lover, family or others (except his cop friend Sathyan). This aspect could have been underlined a bit for additional impact and stronger appreciation for Jagdish’s character.

The love/comedy scenes and songs definitely stick out like sore thumb since they are not integrated well with the story line. It is understandable why AR Murugadoss had to make these compromises. We are pointing this out without really complaining since such intrusions have become essential to satisfy the fan base and common audience with diverse set of expectations.

Highlights

• Stylish portrayal of Vijay in anti-terrorism operations have a perfect closure with mass elements. For instance, scenes such as simultaneous execution of 12-for-12 sleeper cell killings at precisely the same minute, sister rescue scenes with sniffer dog, and the final scene where he symbolically blows up the ship with his hand gesture and subsequent punch dialogue before villain killing are sure treats for fans.
• AR Murugadoss seems to have taken a tip from his association with Aamir Khan in Ghajini Hindi remake. Upon Aamir’s insistence, some emotional scenes involving Asin’s memory were added after climax action sequences in Hindi version. AR Murugadoss has used similar finish in Thuppakki giving a nice emotional touch and meaning to the movie by extolling the virtues of army.
• Kajal has done her role exceptionally well in perking up the lighter moments with her expressions, dance moves in songs and chirpy love scenes laced with humour. Kajal has good scope in both “Antarctica” song (interesting concept) and “Alaika Laika” (showcasing her dance moves). Kajal’s presence enlivens the scenes and songs for people looking for relief from action scenes.
• Santhosh Sivan‘s Cinematography and Sreekar Prasad‘s editing keep the narration tight despite relatively long running time. The candid capture of Mumbai adds to the style and character of the city. Santosh’s fast working style is critical to the successful shooting of scenes in real locations in Mumbai. Harris scores big in the final minutes with his song (“Poi Varavaa“) dedicated to army jawans which is sure to leave a lump in your throat. Harris’ BGM keeps up the pace and makes the operations look convincing with his theme track.

What could have been better?

---

• Song picturizations look low-budget. Almost 4 out of 5 songs solely rely on Vijay’s dance moves, which gets a bit repetitive for general public. AR Murugadoss and Santhosh Sivan have pulled out some of the old tricks of picturizing the songs in big stadiums, by using bright incandescent lights in the background to make it look richer. Vijay’s introduction song “Kutti Puli Kootam” and opening fight scenes are speed breakers right after the word “go”.
• Screenplay could have been tighter. Even though the individual scenes were riveting, the bigger purpose required to latch the audience interest lacks full conviction. The objective of killing the head of sleeper-cell (Vidyut) lacks macro-connection resulting in lack of depth for Vijay vs Vidyut’s clash. Some of the lengthy climax fight sequences in the ship could have been trimmed. The final 10+ minutes of man-to-man combat scenes with Vidyut led to some chatter among audience.

Bottomline

With right promotions and word of mouth reaching out to neutral and family audience, Thuppakki is well positioned to get tagged along with Ghilli and  Pokiri.

Billa 2 – First Review from a fan in Chennai!

The reason why ajithkumar accepted to act or to even think of a prequel is evident. It has strong-hitting script.
And the film starts with a voice from behind re-visiting an ordinary coastal men’s life. Ajith as an ordinary coastal man starting to live his life pretty simple with his region people..He gets introduced to a drug and weapon dealers by his coastal head , he agrees to work for them considering the poor livelihood of his family, as predicted he was being cheated by the dealers and whole kundos captured him and his coastal people and made them to Agathigal for money which they gonna get later !

Thereby, heroeines enter and fall for ajith’s pity situation and bad lights he undergo , how ajith learns all the arts from them and transform as an Underworld don who gets control of entire network after the death of Sudhanshu Pandey form a rest of the Story.

You would have known this is a simple story and coming to the performance by lead artists.

Ajith (david) when reforms as don shown with his slick and style appearance and dialogues, but failed to justify the character when being Agathi. He looked unselected for the refugee role no offence meant, he still has not come out of Mankatha hangover. He could have reduced his weight though. And he excels in transforming show and in some places he over acted and emoted in poor sense. Bruna Abdullah & Parvathy appeared too much sexy and too much show off and nothing more for their role. Some scenes should’ve been deleted for adult content .

Vidhyut as side-villain rocked in looks. But his voice dubbing was not matched.

Music was good in parts. Madhurai Ponnu and Unakule Mirugam were poorly picturised. Other three was good. BGM had no new compositions, Yuvan just re-used the old_billa part 1 themes here.

Cinematography was Awesome. Red Epic worked to some extent but in some places it looked so contrast and dull grey which harms some audience..

There were lots of violence scenes present and some sexually explicit content could have been avoided although it rated Adultery film.

climax was not convincing and they’ve missed the point what makes Ajith as David Billa and less was said on it. The film is noway near to entertaining mankatha in terms of content and scenes. I did not enjoy the film as i enjoyed Mankatha.

Positives :-

-Ajith’s performance as Transforming a Don(david billa)

–Songs

-2nd half locations

Negatives :-

– Ajith as coastalman(David) was miscast

-1st half was so dragging

– Dialogues given to other non tamil artists except Ajith were pretty rubbish.

-mindless violenc scenes and back sound

-Adultery scenes in some parts were used extreme

-Climax so illogical and not convincing.

-Predictable Scenes towards the end.

Billa II – Teaser Promo

Ajith is back with Billa II after the successful 2007 flick Billa which was directed by Vishnuvardhan. Expected to release on 25th May, Billa II is supposed to be a prequel to Billa ( unlike Don-2 which was a sequel ) and talks about how David, an ordinary man from coastal Tamil Nadu becomes the dreaded don Billa. Directed by Chakri Toleti  and also starring Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey in supporting roles who all make their debut in Tamil cinema, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and R.D.Rajasekharis the DOP.

Expected to be the big ticket summer Tamil release, watch this interesting teaser for now.

A Movie Story & Directed by Rajesh M who has done the film neatly in commercial and full of comedy.
The producer Udhayanidhi himself is the Hero of the film with Santhanam making full comedy. Heroine is Hansika, Saranya Ponvanna Udhayanidhi mother, Uma Padbhanan Hansika’s mother and father is Shiyaji Shinde. With varadha rajan and others.

From the beginning itself the movie moves in the comedy track and full of comedy mixed with stunts, songs in foreign locations. Songs are all good, music by Harris Jayraj, Camera Balasubramniam, Lyrics Na Muthukumar, Arts: Jacy, Choreography: Dinesh, Stunts Rajasekar, Editing Vivek Harshan PRO: Nikil

Very neatly and in commercial and comedy fully with excellent timings by both Udyanidhi and santhanam speaks about the story. Udhayanidhi being produced many films is hero in this and does not looks like a new actor and done his part in very good manner with Hansika a beauty fitted perfectly for the Hero.

An wonderful comedy mixed commercial movie with all credits.

சூர்யாவின் அசத்தலான நடிப்பில் நடிப்பில்  எ.ஆர்.முருகதாஸ்சின் அதிரடி இயக்கத்தில் உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் தயாரிப்பில்  வெளிவந்திருக்கும் இருக்கும் படம் தான் இந்த ஏழாம் அறிவு.

தமிழ் சினிமா இதுவரை பார்காத திரைகளம் இது வரை பார்காத ஆக்சன், இதுவரை பார்காத  தொழில்நுட்பம் என இதுவரை அனுபவிக்காத ஒரு அனுபவத்தை தந்து இருக்கின்றார் நம்ம  எ.ஆர்.முருகதாஸ். படம் ஆரம்ப முதலே பரபரப்பு. அதுவும் முதல் அந்த பதிநைந்து நிமிட  காட்சிக்கு நாம் படத்திற்கு குடுத்த பணம் முடிந்துவிட்டது.

பலமான படத்திற்கு பலமே அதில் நடித்த நடிகர்களின் நடிப்பும் அவர்களின் ஈடுபாடும்  தான். அதிலும் சூர்யாவின் நடிப்பு நாம் எதிர்பார்காத ஒன்று. இத்தனை ஈடுபாட்டுடன்  ஒரு நடிகன் அதுவும் தனது 26வது படத்திலே ஒரு நடிகனால் நடிக்க முடியுமா? என வியக்க  வைத்திருக்கின்றார்  மனுஷன்.

இரட்டை வேடம்: சர்கஸ் நாயகன் மற்றும் குங்பூவை உருவாக்கிய ஒரு துறவி என இரண்டு  சவாலான கதாபாத்திரம். இரண்டிலுமே மனதில் நிற்கின்றார் நம்ம சூர்யா.

அதுவும் அவருடைய அந்த குங்பூ சண்டை தமிழ் சினிமா வரலாற்றில்  சண்டைகாட்சிகளுக்கெல்லாம்  முன் மாதிரியாக இருக்க போகின்றது.

கலக்குங்க சூர்யா…. இனி ஒரு வருடம் உங்கள் நடிப்பைதான் தமிழ் சினிமா பேச  போகின்றது.

அப்புறம் அறிமுக நாயகியாக ஸ்ருதி கமல் ஹாசன். தமிழில்தான் இது இவருக்கு முதல்  படம். அதனை உணர்த்துவது போல் அழகான அளவான நடிப்பு. கமல் ஹாசன் நிச்சயம் பெருமைபட்டு  கொள்ளலாம்.

அப்புறம் அனய்யா இரண்டாவது சூர்யாவுக்கு ஜோடியாக வருகின்றார். மனதை விட்டு  மரையாத கதாபத்திரம் அவங்களுடையது.

வில்லனாக வரும் அந்த ஹாலிவுட் நடிகர் யப்பா சண்டை காட்சிகளில் அப்படி ஒரு  ஆக்ரோஷம். சண்டை கட்சிகள் உயிரோட்டமாக அமைந்ததற்கு இவருடைய பங்களிப்பு ஒரு முக்கிய  காரணம்.

ஹாரிஸ் ஜெயராஜின் இசையில் ஏற்கணவே பாடல்கள் ஹிட்டாகி விட்டன. பின்ணணி  இசையிலும் மிரட்டி இருக்கின்றார். ஆனால் ஏற்கனவே கேட்ட பீலிங் வருவதை தவிற்க்க  முடியவில்லை.

இப்படி ஒரு கதையை யோசித்தற்காகவே எ.ஆர். முருகதாஸ்சை எவ்வளவு வேண்டுமானாலும்  பாராட்டலாம்.
தமிழர்கள் எல்லாம் பெருமைபட கூடிய வகையில் ஒரு படத்தை தந்ததற்காக  ஒரு மிக பெரிய சல்யூட்.

முதலில் எனது எந்த வலையுளகிற்கு வருகை தந்த

படங்களில் நடித்து இப்போது நான்காவது இடத்தில் இருக்கின்றார். ஒரு காலத்திற்கு
அப்புறம் மக்களுக்கு சலிப்பு வரகூடிய படங்களில் நடித்து வெறுப்பை சம்பாதித்து
